From the site: The whole family can learn where vanilla and chocolate come from (the seedpod of the vanilla orchid, Vanilla planifolia, and the seeds of the cacao tree, Theobroma cacao), and explore them both through hands-on activities. Examine vanilla beans with hand lenses and microscopes, and observe live vanilla orchids. Enjoy the heavenly scent of fresh vanilla, and taste vanilla-flavored products. Tickle your taste buds with hot chocolate made from an ancient Mayan recipe, which is quite different from the hot chocolate of today. Grind, examine, and taste real chocolate seeds, and add spices such as chili powder, cinnamon, and vanilla to make this special drink. Then, record all your findings in a field notebook to take home.
